General questions about signing

How does the signing process work?

The first step to signing is registering on our website. Then select the package that suits you best and complete the payment process. After completing our e-learning course, upload the certificate of completion to your profile. You can now sign the charter in your profile. This makes you an official signatory of the Diversity Charter and you will be listed on our website. In addition, various materials and tools are available to you in the login area.

Does the contact person have to be the same as the signatory?

No, the contact person does not have to be the signatory. The contact person should be the person responsible for diversity. To reinforce the commitment behind the signature, the charter should be signed by a majority of people at management level.

What is the difference between this and membership?

Signatories are organizations that have committed themselves to promoting diversity and equal opportunities within their own organization by signing the charter. Our packages provide signatories with various tools and materials. Members of the Charta der Vielfalt e. V. association decide on the content and operational focus of the initiative. As agenda setters, they define thematic areas for action that are taken up throughout Germany and also bring these topics to the EU-wide exchange and internationally. As a member of the Diversity Charter, you or your company can significantly influence the German discourse on diversity management and diversity in companies. Membership is subject to a fee of 25.000€ per year.

Where can I find the terms and conditions or the framework conditions for signing?

You will find these in the registration form for creating your signature profile.

What is expected of me after I have signed up for a package?

As a signatory to the Diversity Charter, you are committing to promoting diversity and equal opportunities in your organization. To help you implement DEI, we provide helpful tools and materials in our signing packages and on our website.

Questions about the certificate

Who signs the certificate?

To reinforce the backing of the signature, the certificate is signed by a majority of people at management level. The signatory does not have to be the same person as the contact person in the profile.

Why is the certificate no longer issued by post?

With the restructuring of our signing process, some of our procedures have been digitized.

This enables us to offer you a sustainable, faster, and smoother signing process.

When can I access the certificate?

To sign the certificate, you must book a package and complete our basic training. The signing process is digital, so your certificate will be available for download in the login area of your signature profile immediately after signing.

Questions about the signature packages

What are the cancellation terms?

The cancellation period is 3 months before the end of the term. Unless you cancel, your package term will be automatically extended. After cancellation, your signature profile will remain on our website until the end of the term. Cancellation can be made via your profile.

Are there discounts for non-profit organizations?

As a non-profit organization exempt from corporate income tax, the Inspire package is available to you free of charge. To take advantage of this offer, please upload your proof of corporate income tax exemption when registering.

Is the subscription also available for subsidiaries?

The subscription applies to all your locations in Germany. Please note that the subscription does not automatically apply to subsidiaries. Companies with an independent legal form must subscribe separately.

Questions about the contract term and payment process

Where can I find the end of the contract term?

Log in to your signature profile. In your dashboard, under “Step 2: Package,” you will see when your contract term ends. The start and end of the contract term are also noted on your certificate.

What happens at the end of the contract term?

Unless you cancel your signature in time, it will be automatically renewed. If you decide to cancel, your signature status will end when the contract term expires. From this point on, you will no longer be authorized to use the signed logo. Your signature profile will be deactivated and you will no longer be listed as a signatory on our website.

How does the payment process work?

The payment process for signing is automatic in the login area of your signature profile via Stripe. You have the following payment options: credit card, SEPA transfer, bank transfer. Unless you cancel, your package will be automatically renewed.

Questions about the signature account/login

I forgot my password, what should I do?

Click on “Reset password” in the login screen. You will then receive an automatic email with a link that you can use to set a new password.

I want to delete my account, how do I do that?

Deleting your account is equivalent to canceling your package. To do this, please log in to your signature profile. You can access the “Package” area via the menu bar or your dashboard. There you can cancel your booked package. Your profile will remain active until the end of the contract period. If you wish to delete your account earlier, please write to us at netzwerk@charta-der-vielfalt.de.

Who should be listed as the contact person?

As the contact person, please enter the name of the person responsible for diversity management who will be in contact with us. The contact person does not have to be the signatory.

What happens if the company name changes?

n the event of a change of company name, the signature remains valid. You can change your organization name in your profile.

Questions about the e-learning

How long does the e-learning course take?

The e-learning course takes approximately 90 minutes.

Can I also complete the e-learning course on a mobile device?

Yes, the e-learning course can generally be used on various mobile devices. However, we recommend using a laptop or computer, as the course contains interactive elements such as quizzes. Create a free account on our learning platform to save your learning progress and download your certificate after completing the final test.

What happens if I don't complete the e-learning course?

Successful completion of the e-learning course is mandatory for signing the Diversity Charter. No certificate can be issued until you upload the certificate of completion to your signature profile.

Can I save my learning progress in the e-learning course?

Yes, this is possible. To do so, create a free account on our learning platform.

What does the e-learning course cover?

The e-learning course teaches the fundamentals of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), explains their importance for a fair and sustainable working world, and shows how diversity management can be implemented in practice with concrete examples and recommendations for action. The e-learning course ends with a final test, which is mandatory for signing.

Where can I find the signed logo?

The signed logo is available in the login area of your signature profile.

Where can I place the signed logo?

After signing, the signed logo will be available to you. You can use it for internal and external communication, e.g., on your website, intranet, or in job advertisements. Please note the usage guidelines. These can be found in the communication kit within the resources of your signature profile.

Where can I find the press release for the signature?

The press release for the signature can be found in the communication kit within the resources of your signature profile. Please log in to your signature profile to access it.

Who should I contact if I have shipping problems?

If you have problems with shipping, please first check your order details, which you will find in the emails from Spreadshirt. There you will also find your DHL parcel number, which you can use to track your order. Once your order has been shipped, please contact DHL directly.

How do I use my voucher code?

To use a voucher code in our shop, follow these steps:

1. Select your products.

2. Click on the shopping cart to complete your order.

3. Enter voucher code: The field for the voucher code is located on the page where you enter your order information.

4. Apply discount: Click on the “Redeem” or “Apply discount” button to activate the voucher.

5. Complete your order: Complete the order process with your payment information and confirm your order.
