Besides the Charta der Vielfalt in Germany, there are now also diversity charter initiatives in many other European countries. In 2010 they joined together to form the EU Platform of Diversity Charters, coordinated by the European Commission. Apart from this linkage, all initiatives are independent, have regionally differing focuses and different initiators and support organisations. The current number of signatories in the EU is at almost 14,400, respresenting over 17 milion employees.

This year's European Diversity Month will take place again in May 2023! Organisations and companies across Europe can become part of a European movement through their own diversity projects in the course of this month. All 26 European Charter initiatives participate with national Diversity Days and Weeks. More information can be found on the European Diversity Month page.
The official opening is on 27.04.2023. Together with political, economic and social decision-makers, Helena Dalli, EU Commissioner for Equal Opportunities, will launch the fourth European Diversity Month.
For actions in Germany, the Diversity Charter is organising the German Diversity Day. By participating in the DDT, you are also participating in the European Diversity Month! You can find more information on the DDT and the action registration here
The European Capitals of Inclusion and Diversity Award recognises the work done by cities, towns, or regions in Europe to promote inclusion and create discrimination-free societies.
